Reading Rebel
Thanks mate. Parkings tight I hear? In a nutshell, at the moment until phase two is complete only players, officials and blue badge holders can park at the ground. Full details of parking and how to get to the ground are on our website.

staines_rebel_Jr
Finished 9-2 to Slough. Credit to Ashford for playing some good football even when the game was well out of reach, a little unlucky not to score one or two more.
Swifty
Thanks, Staines_rebel_Jr. - much appreciated. Well, that was value ...45p a goal! I said before the game I thought it would be 4-1, I just didn't expect that to be the score after 20 minutes...and we'd taken the lead in the 4th minute through Max Herbert as well! Slough gave us our lottery numbers in the first half with goals in the 7th, 8th, 15th, 20th, 35th and 45th minutes. Incredibly, we played the second half as if it was 0-0 at half time and gave a highly creditable account, especially for the first half of the second half. That wouldn't have been easy. After keeper Luke Daley, making a debut he'll never forget, saved a poorly taken 54th minute penalty, Kam scored the goal our display deserved in the 61st minute, but a straightforward seventh in the 71st and a penalty the next minute knocked us back for a while. Lewis Putman, a class act who looked too good for this level, got his deserved hat-trick ten minutes from time but we kept going to the end. The first half was laugh or cry football against a fast and skilful Slough side, the second half was full of character and determination and the lads should take pride from how they reacted after a first half which must have shocked them. No mistake, though - Slough were very, very impressive. Interesting stuff over the tannoy - "All Right Now" at half time, "Happy" after the final whistle, and an announcement just before the restart confirming there'd be penalties if the score was level after 90 minutes! Big thanks initially to Gerry, and also to our esteemed chairman and Chris for offering me a lift home. As he was dropping off a fellow supporter 200 yards from my home, I accepted the offer from Peter House, who got me home infinitely quicker than the 2 hours 10 it took me from work to the game! Final thought - not sure how many sugars the ref put on his Weetabix, but he was on one all night. He made me feel tired!
fatboyatmfc
On the subject of music after the game... Hornchurch played the MASH theme after we knocked them out of the Trophy....suicide is painless!
