Slough v Dartford

Game of Throw-ins

Recommended Posts

Wrong decisions by the lino gave Dratford possession. Two throw ins, foul on Charlie Moone, offside when ball headed behind by their No4. We would have had possesion from the throws, a free kick near the box & a corner, all happened inside 2/3minutes before their penalty. That's not giving the ball away. The Ref corrected a bad call by the lino on a throwin  when their player run the ball out of play.

You are misunderstanding what I meant by 'I feel that Slough were giving the ball away a little too often at that stage of the game'. We started losing possession and giving the ball away a little too often in the second half during open play with some sloppy passes which gave Dartford the ball or allowed them easy tackles to gain possession, we weren't doing that in the first half. Nothing to do with the free kicks, throw-ins, or corners given by the ref and linesman. Although, you are correct that some of those decisions by the match officials certainly didn't help us either. Dartford clearly improved in the second half and perhaps we tired a bit too, but I feel that we were pretty much still in control of the game and containing them until that penalty decision was awarded against us seven minutes from time which was definitely the turning point of the game.
