Slough v Biggleswade

Game of Throw-ins

Recommended Posts

Another convincing performance and comfortable win.

Five goals in five games for Warren Harris.

We seem to have settled on the 3G nicely and are playing some really great passing football. Biggleswade couldn't get close to us at times.

More of that please :P

Top attendance in the league today.

Just hope Lee Barney injury isn't too bad.

Excellent performance from all the lads again today. Couldnt fault the effort in anyway and made Biggleswade look very ordinary.

Couldnt argue with Lee Togwell as MoM but again i think it could have gone to any one of 7-8 of the team.

Big challenge on Tuesday night, but i suspect Leamington will be looking at the game with trepedation given how well we have been playing so far this year.

Should be a good game on Tuesday, a big test as Leamington are 3rd & only 2 points behind us.

once Biggleswade missed a good chance in the first few minutes we rarely looked troubled with our defence rock solid yet again.

our attacking play was just too good for them the majority of the game and once we were ahead it never felt they would get back in it

onto Tuesday and what should be a tough game. don't see any reason why we can't get at least a draw if not another win

we know our winning/unbeaten run won't go on forever but key will be how we react to it when it does come to an end. for now lets make the most of this superb run of form and confidence

Excellent stuff. Good performance, thought everyone had a decent game. Great to see Wazza and Dobbo in form and with the confidence to perform as they did. Barney and James were a constant threat and our work rate and pressing was superb.

Onto the next one, COYR!

3 points and another terrific performance.

Some of the moves we put together were a joy to watch with Biggleswade at times were chasing shadows.

Cannot argue with Togs being MOTM but I'd go as far to say that any one of the starting 11 could have been nominated.

I think we face our toughest test to date on Tuesday against title favourites Leamington with the possibility of only one fit striker.

Fingers crossed Lee Barney isn't as badly injured as it looked.

Great result and performance!! Togwell is a very good player, underrated in many ways (I know a lot have said he did well!) but in general! Does a lot of good things throughout the game!

Really good win! Start of season we all said a top half finish and improvement would be our wish! If we stay up near top that would be amazing but let's not put pressure on, just see what happens and enjoy the ride!

Excellent win today Almost 600 for a routine league match Bodes well for key matches Imo the next two matches will tell us a lot On Tuesday the two tightest defences in the league meet Slough and Leamington have both conceded just 5 each and whilst we have 4 home wins Leamington have 4 away wins A real test IMO Dartford won again today albeit against the bottom team move up to seventh and must be gaining in confidence so another sterling test.

Massive game on Tuesday now we have had such a great start. This will be a step up from what we have faced so far but if we approach it the way we have every other game this season we will be very difficult to beat. Saturday is a different kettle of fish. Although Dartford are big favourites , playing at a higher level, it will be great fun as a one -off and a real nothing to lose game .

A great performance all round. Best wishes to Lee Barney and just a small word of thanks to the Biggleswade goalie for the sportsmanship he showed trying to bring Lee's injury to the attention of the referee. Perhaps not such a word for the goalies' fellow player who castigated him for doing so! COYR!

Ian Brown, the  Biggleswade keeper nearly played for Slough, as Steve Bateman thought he had signed him, only for him to change his mind at the last minute.

He is one of the best keepers in this division but I wouldn't swap him for Mark Scott !

I didn't think that Ian Brown looked very good though yesterday. I would not have been confident in him if he was my goalkeeper, he appeared nervous and looked like he had a mistake in him for most of the game, especially in the first half. To be fair to him I thought he improved a lot towards the end of the second half. I'm sure he is normally a better goalkeeper than he looked yesterday. I echo Dave's thoughts that it was great sportsmanship from Ian Brown to try to gain the attention of the referee with regards to Lee Barney's injury.

Browney has a reputation as one of the nicest guys around too......A real top bloke which was shown yesterday with the signalling for Barney to get treatment

After seeing him for many seasons I have to say that he is a very good keeper. Couldn't do much for the goals and I thought did superbly to tip the original shot onto bar before barney scored with his balls!!
