GarySTFC
What's going on with MyFC? Nothing on Facebook since July, their new Pitchero site for a month and only retweeting on the Twitter feed. I know Laurence has posted previously about the lack of a raised position for filming games so he's not keen, so that explains the lack of filming since the move to Arbor Park. Is anything planned at MyFC or is it just winding down now due to decreased membership numbers?
A Rebel and a Saint
From what I know, their original website continued to function beyond the date they thought it would, so it is being used along with their forum (rarely) by a few members and the new stuff they set up is not being used. They have around 170 members left in total. They are pulling together funds in instalments to cover the away shirt sponsorship for this season. Personally I think they're not going to last much longer than this season as they have very little in the way of volunteers doing any work for them and not much in the way of funding worth ever decreasing members. I'm sure Nick will be able to discuss more as he is the myfc representitive.

Myfc is still supporting the club through the current sponsorship and in any way they can (their rep was manning the gate and car park at the Hayes and Yeading game - Sunburnt head ouch.) The current membership is approx. 170 and decisions will need to be taken at the end of the season as to whether the society continues and in what form. Im afraid I cant give any more news than that, I do know that many members have become STFC supporters and will continue to support the club from near and far as will I. A Rebel and a Saint
So their away shirt sponsorship money is being paid in installments? Yes RR, as it was last season.
Irishadrian
RR Hardly surprising Their highest quoted membership was 32000ish so if 170 is an accurate figure they have 0.5 of 1% of their original membership and annual subscriptions worth about £80 per week Hard to see where they can go at seasons end unless that situation changes Eoromillions win? Curtis
The Club has been on an upward spiral since the association with MYFC...... purely coincidental, lucky mascot, or a positive contributor?
Reading Rebel
The Club has been on an upward spiral since the association with MYFC...... purely coincidental, lucky mascot, or a positive contributor? Definitely a positive contributor! I think the decline of MyFC was inevitable though as the vast majority of their members wanted to own and run a club as they tried to do at Ebbsfleet. Irishadrian
Not to mention the tremendous contribution made by Neil and Jon. Any substantial financial contribution anyone made in the last few seasons has been gratefully received so we do owe thanks and gratitude to MyFC
The Cameraman
What's going on with MyFC? Is anything planned at MyFC or is it just winding down now due to decreased membership numbers? It's not so much not being keen, Gary. It's all to do with apparent health & safety issues really, as there is nowhere for a tripod to be placed without somebody tripping over it until the main stand is built. I would love to be filming STFC games the way things are going on the field of play at the moment, subject to somebody funding/sponsoring the filming of course. I think it's pretty clear that MyFC will no longer be able to do that. Subsequently I have now been hired to film for United London every Saturday for the rest of this season. They are 'the new MyFC' in terms of actually getting the 'Pick The Team' idea working...which it does at the parks level they are playing at, but was never going to happen at Ebbsfleet. As far as I am aware, 'Own The Club' doesn't come with it though, so I guess there is no chance of the remaining MyFC members defecting to United London. I think we all know that owning a club is what those remaining MyFC members really wanted for their membership fee, but they now realise they are not going to get that with STFC and the winding-down of MyFC looks inevitable to me with most current MyFC'ers joining the STFC Trust instead (if they haven't already). Dobrt
Definitely a positive contributor! I think the decline of MyFC was inevitable though as the vast majority of their members wanted to own and run a club as they tried to do at Ebbsfleet. Far more to it than lack of ownership though. There were many issues which caused the decline most being of "the business" end nature.
