FA Cup 3rd qualifying round draw

Can't complain, a team towards the top end of the Conference South but a home draw.

Watched a couple of their videos and they seem to be a very attack minded team especially down the wings.

They have a very tricky left winger in ex Fulham Scholar Luke Wanadio and top scorer Elliot Bradbrook.

Give it our best shot and you never know.

That's a good point but presumably a larger crowd could be accommodated with paid help as financially viable? The planning consent fixed the current capacity taking into account the local infrastructure. A number of supporters attended the planning meetings (which anyone could have). The consents are available for reading up. So at present the ground capacity on completion of Phase 2 will be 1950 whatever level of volunteers are available.

So say the true capacity once complete is 4,000 but we've been restricted to just half this because of 'local concerns' how we ever going to get this increased then? Whoever set the capacity obviously had reasons to so why would those issues suddenly disappear in the future? Yes we may never need more than 2,000 but I'm pretty certain the Conference South require a larger capacity.

It's worth remembering that while there is a lot of space at Arbour Park, along the long sides of the pitch the standing areas slope down from the pitch. This would mean that after a few rows of people you wouldn't see much. An uneducated guess thinks that new covered standing or seating areas in these parts of the ground (as per the plans) could increase capacity, but I don't really know.

I just think it's just a softly softly approach, in that currently our ground has no parking and staffing issues are in a teething stage, so if we get too many supporters attending, the likely hood is that is will cause chaos to the area, around the stadium and get loads of residents moaning about it.

So it's better to limited how many attend until the facility is up and running properly and the stadium has bedded into the community.

The capacity may have been stated in the planning consent but any application could change it if necessary in the future. The real issue in the future will be the Safety Certificate and the league grading.

Anyone who has been to King Langley, Cambridge (St Ives ) or even Beaconsfield recently will know that AP's capacity is way beyond what those grounds can hold. At the opening game most of the crowd were on the Town-End terrace second half . Must have been 750+ yet it was quite comfortable not anywhere near full. It is fine for Conf South and easily upgradable for Conference. Be a nice problem to worry about though.

Most important thing for me was a home draw, which we've got. Given the confidence and form in the squad, it's a winnable tie but certainly won't be easy. Hopefully a healthy crowd which we all need to do our bit to promote if we want the numbers through the gate, with a good contingent making the journey from Dartford.

Glen ìt was also stated at the top of the list prior the first game that an enjoyable experience was very important so that first timers especially who live locally would be more encouraged to return after there first visit.
