I couldn't say last time when Slough last won 7 on the bounce in all competitions, for myself and Jon this is our first time in management, had managed 6 in the past!

Also most unbeaten in all competitions on the spin was 8 games for Slough in 2013/14 season.

Very pleased with this result As I said pre match I expected us to edge it  but a two goal cushion I didnt expect  and the very honest report on the Cambridge  website  speaks of our total control throughout the whole game and mentions our excellent defence Basically they say they tried but had no chance  not many opponent match reports read like that.

Here's what I can find. Possibility of seven consecutive wins happening since 2004 mind.

Won 5 league games in a row:

13/14 Season: 9th-30th November 2013, six straight wins between 18th Jan and 1st March 2014. six again from 22nd March to 12th April.

12/13 Season happened on three occasions: 4th Sept 2012 - 30th Oct 2012, 10th Nov 2012 - 26th Dec 2012 & 16th-27th April 2013.

Seven wins in a row (all comps):
20th Jan - 28th Feb 2004

Also had seven league wins in a row towards the end of that season 27th March - 24th April 2004

Nine unbeaten in all comps:

22nd August to 6th October 2009 (10 games)

Season 67/68 started with a 14 game unbeaten run losing No 15 FA Cup replay at Leytonstone, then went 21 games unbeaten before losing to Sutton Utd. in an F A amature cup replay in the "battle of  Gander Green lane ( the first game I missed that season).

Before anyone asks the question  Yes they were that good

Difficult to compare eras but that season was certainly the start of the Rebels upward progression into the higher echelons of the old amateur game. Having been promoted from the Athenian League div.1 won the premier league 67/68 with home crowds averaging over 1400. Then runners up twice I recall and twice more champions and also Amateur cup finalists. Then up to the Isthmian League etc. Good days then and really good times at present! COYR!
