Cambridge Fa Cup game

Let's hope there's no complacency from our lads tomorrow and we keep the winning form going.

League position or stature means nothing in FA cup. That's why you end up with upsets.

If we go in feeling we going to win because we are top of the league it's a recipe for disaster

This is a tough game being away to a team from our league but definitely a tie we should be confident of getting at least a replay if not the win as long as we play with the right motivation and confidence

From what I saw on Facebook southern league site the St Ives ground looked far from good condition but up to us to deal with that

This one is a potential banana skin Cambridge are well down the table but 3 of their 4 losses are against teams currently 2nd 3rd and 6th in the table and no-one has beaten them comfortably They are imo better than current form suggests so we musnt go out with a gung-ho attitude I think we will edge it mainly because of a wonderful defence conceding just 5 makes us best in the league but Im not as sure about this one as I have been about other recent games As others have said FA Cup games are individual One-offs.

Finished Cambridge 1-3 Slough. Dobson x2 and James with the goals.

On to the next round of the FA cup.

I couldn't make it to Cambridge so went to see Staines vs Maidenhead instead. Staines won 1-0 with neither team looking particularly good. I wouldn't be too worried if we drew Staines in the next round.

Solid performance from all our players again today resulting in a comfortable win on a poor hilly bobbly pitch that needs mowing

Cambridge were easily one of the weakest teams we have faced I thought but well done to the team for getting the job done.

Seemed pretty much game over once it went 2-0 as long as we defended well and we were rarely troubled in the slightest all game with their barely deserved consolation coming from a late penalty for hand ball against Hewitt

2nd half we were able to cruise through with Dobbo grabbing a late slough 3rd and his 2nd with an emphatic front post finish

Great to be in the hat and only 2 rounds from that 1st round proper

Good solid performance, and excellent result..... similar in some respects to last weekend, great first half and a 2-0 lead, and then more about not letting the opposition back into the match second half.

Post match interviews are a fantastic addition, it's great to hear the managers and players perspective of the match.
