Vs Weymouth

Not too worried about the absence of putts atm giving Dobbos form. I don't think there's much between them on their day, Dobbos work rate and aerial ability is where I see him as ahead of putts but on the flip side putts final ball is possibly more consistent. As Dobbo is the man in possession I think Lewis would have to go some to get back into the starting line up if James' form doesn't dip.

Before anyone starts this post is not criticising either player, both are great assets on their day, just putting my opinion across as to how I view the situation.

Dobbo's playing very well at the moment and deserves his place in the team.

My opinion differs to Radders, I think Putts work-rate is a tad better and IMO his crossing of the ball is better and more consistent than Dobbo's.

But as I said at the moment you can't take it away from Dobbo he's playing very well and thoroughly deserves his place in the starting 11.

What a great discussion to be having. The fact we have two top quality players for this spot is what we need. Football these days even at this level is a squad game. If we want to win things we need 16 first team players who we are prepared to pick 25-30 times a season. Injury ,unavailability and fatigue are facts of life and need quality cover not just fill ins. This last week was a perfect example, we lost our best defender, best midfielder and our top scorer and we replaced them with quality. I doubt Redditch and Weymouth thought they were beaten by stand ins . When I see a team sheet as long as Dobbo or Putts is on it I am happy.

In the first 10 matches this season we have already had 8 different starting line ups, with only one instance of going into consecutive game with the same starting 11.

Only Mark Scott, Sean Fraser, Paul Stonehouse and Warren Harris have started every game.

Strength in depth.
