This match is postponed - under investigation by the Football Association

If club is guilty it could mean expulsion from FA competitions next season (in which case it would be a two year exclusion from FA Cup as clubs have to have played in the FA Vase for a season before being accepted into the FA Cup - as was the case of Colney Heath a couple of years ago)

Clapton v Hertford Town FA Vase game to be replayed at Hertford Town on Tuesday 20th September following FA meeting today. It appears that the explanation from Clapton was accepted. Hertford Town to keep all proceeds from the game with Clapton having to pay their own expenses.

And if this game is drawn after extra-time, it goes to penalties......

Would like an explanation as to why this fixture even needs to be replayed as a similar issue occurred after Guildford City did exactly the same thing at the weekend and were immediately removed from The FA Vase. No consistency here really . . . Anyone care to explain why these instances are different?

Unless the FA are prepared to elaborate on their press release (unlikely) or someone in the FA is prepared to 'spill the beans' I doubt if you will ever know......,,

So Clapton have been found guilty to have fielded an ineligible player (who saved a penalty during the 0-0 draw), yet received no punishment and told to replay at Hertford without a share of the gate money.

Another club fielded an ineligible player at the weekend and were promptly ejected from the FA Vase.

I'm guessing the red card for our 'keeper will also be rescinded and the entire crowd get their money back from The FA then?

Of course not . . .

Not to mention the utterly incompetent officials who ruined what could've been a great game for all attending on the day.

Check out The Cold End's footage to see what I mean . . .

Total farce!

I'm sure the FA had good reason to make the decision they did.

Just watch The Cold End's footage-

Tyler Hatherley was incredible

Both keepers played a blinder

Big Dog Col, I actually thought the Officials were spot on in all of their calls (captured on video). Not much to complain about there
