Get in!!!!!!!!!

Great result from the team to hammer Redditch 4-0!

Important players missing but it does show what a strong squad we've got this season.

Listening to twitter it sounds like Wazza was back to his best and had a great game with two goals to boot.

COYR!!

I'm sure I wasn't the only one thinking today would be difficult bearing in mind the loss of personnel we had to contend with. I would have settled for a draw before kick off so the see the game progress via Twitter I couldn't believe how impressive we are. As others have mentioned it really shows we have a strong squad this season and can cope with top players missing. Just gutting Chippenham had the fortune of a great fightback to deny us top spot.

What a result. Big credit to the squad and managers for breaking the Redditch curse in style after missing a few key players. Didn't get to the game but listened on Rebels Radio for most of it. Looking forward to Weymouth on Tuesday. COYR!

In a way I'm quite happy to stay in second place, once you're at the top your there to be shot at.

I'm quite content to stay in the top 2/3/4 and when the time is right hit the top spot    :)

As many did today had to follow the game o twitter and what a result in the end.

Just listened to Neil on his after match interview and he sounded unsurprisingly, very happy to say the least. He also said for Tuesday at least i guess, that Charlie Mpi has signed forms with us again. A great addition (although only now and then i guess) to an already excellent performing squad.

As someone that did make it (no dig intended ;)) it was as impressive a performance as Twitter and Rebels radio made it sound. Couldn't pick a MOTM or weak link, it was a consummate away display. Get a solid half time lead, then kill the second half without really giving them a sniff of a way back in then wrap it up late on. For the second week in a row, Lee barney showed his predatory instinct by beating the keeper to the ball and having the awareness to score into an empty net. Gavin James' goal was an absolute beauty and great to see a resurgent wazza grab a brace. In a team missing Hollis, Webb, Dunn and moone from most people's preferred first XI's and Fraser out of position it was a pleasure to watch and only slightly tempered by the knowledge our ever so slightly premature rendition of 'we are top of the league' was not quite accurate at the final whistle. As on so many occasions already this season, heading home proud to be a rebel and confident that we could well be the real deal and become real challengers this year. COYR!!!

Indeed. Which is a wonderful problem to have. What was particularly great today was the performances of those who came into the team. After a sloppy first 5 minutes, Dan hicks did a great job covering at right back, Brad Hewitt didn't put a foot wrong and Gavin James was a constant menace considering he's only just got back from America. Must comment on Lee togwell specifically though who had a blinding game and it must be a really tough call for the managers in picking 2 out of 3 from him, dunny and Nathan each week. Not one of them really deserves to be missing out and could probably all grace most other teams week in, week out at this level.

The journey up to redditch was horrible, managed to get in several traffic jams and it poured down the whole time. But it was worth it.

No substitutions today as most on the bench were not 100% but that wasn't a problem as the eleven on the pitch put in an incredible shift and must be knackered.

Redditch played most of the first half passing the ball between the back four deep in their own half which we were happy to let them do. The moment redditch tried playing the ball forward we swarmed all over them and got the ball back immediately. We capitalised on our opportunities and the redditch mistakes. The first goal came from Gavin James playing the ball across the box and Harris hitting it first time back across goal into the bottom corner. The second goal came from an under hit back pass which Barney was alert to and happily collected the ball, rounded the corner and tapped the ball in.

Second half, redditch made three changes and switched to a 3-4-3 and were more aggressive but didn't really go anywhere due to fantastic pressing from all ten Slough outfield players. The third and fourth goals came late with Harris getting the third going past the defender who tried pulling him back, with the ref playing advantage, Harris scored one on one. The fourth and final goal was a superb finish by Gavin James curling the ball top corner with his weaker foot.

MotM is impossible to call as no one deserves not to get it other than Scott who basically had very little to do thanks to those In front of him.

Hopefully a few more will be fit by Tuesday but if they are it will be tough to choose who starts as every one has been playing brilliantly. Plenty of tough choices,

Two out of three: Hollis, Nisbet, Hewitt

Two out of three: Webb, Dunn, Togwell

Two out of three: Barney, Moone, James

One out of two: Dobson, Putman

I'm sure Neil and Jon are very happy to have these tough choices though.
