Planning for Saturday's FA Cup Game

Firstly we would like to thank everyone who volunteered on Monday.  With everyone working together we managed to put on a fairly slick and problem free event.  Would also like to thank everyone for their patience over anything that wasn't quite right.  We will learn from each game but for a first effort we are pleased with how it went.

We now move quickly onto our next game which is this Saturday against Chipstead in the FA Cup and we need to do it all again.

We need 6-8 people who are available on Saturday morning to help get the ground set up and/or afterwards to clear away.  Some of this work will be lifting and shifting, so we need people who are able to do these manual jobs, but there are also some jobs that the not so strong could do to help.

None of these tasks will prevent you from watching the game

We could also do with at least one more person in the bar.  This is likely to be extremely busy before the game, during half time and afterwards.  Again you will be able to watch the game as we will have some staff in there throughout and the bar will close during the game itself.

We would also hope to have a soft drink station on the far side of the ground.  If you could man this stand please let me know.  It will not be behind the stand this week so you can watch game throughout.

Please respond through this forum, email me on gensec@sloughtownfc.net or ring/text me on 07792 126124 if you are available to help this Saturday.

I know many of you came forward a while back to join our pool of volunteers and some of you will be approached directly for specific jobs, but if you can spare some time on Saturday please let me know.

In a similar vein we host the FA Youth Cup game on Tuesday evening and will need some volunteers to make this game happen, although on a smaller scale, so if you are free then please let me know.
