I think their tweet of a bit harsh was referring to the penalty that wasn't given on their number 9.

They retweeted the final score with a comment on it basically saying the scoreline was harsh on their lads. As Glen said, if it wasnt sarcastic then someone needs their head looking at.

 

As for the pen etc, i thought the ref had a poor game all round for both sides.

Plenty of goals to enjoy but a game where we really didn't have to be at our best to win the game comfortably.

 

Charlie Moone deserving of his MOTM and is probably scratching his head wondering how he didn't score a few more.

 

I think Maidenhead would be a great draw to watch but maybe not if we want to proceed further as they are flying at the moment.

Nope they or just the writer of the match report on their website IS deluded after just reading it! 1-6 was harsh and the gulf in class wasn't that much apparently!!! Maybe this person missed the 2 or 3 times we hit the post/bar and the same again number of great saves their keeper made?

we were only in 2nd gear at most most of the game. I think between 1-0 and 2-0 they had a reasonable spell and were for a while looking like they may be able to cause us some problems. 

 

our attacking play was just far too good for their defence whereas our defence coped with much of what they tried with ease 

 

I guess you could say 6-1 was slightly harsh in that Chipstead kept battling till the end and you couldn't question their effort levels but the gulf in class was clear to see not only by the scoreline but by difference in chances created and how easily chances came our way

In the next round I think you either hope for a home match, or a match against a club in a lower league..... if we get both (at home to a lower level club) we will be fortunate, and if we get neither (away to a club at our level or higher) then we will be unlucky.

 

On yesterday's match, the 6-1 was a reasonable reflection..... we hit the woodwork a few times and still missed at least half a dozen very good chances. We are starting to look sharper though, and I don't think that will be the last time we score six this season.

SF, that re-tweeted final score must have been removed because it's not there anymore.

 

The Chipstead report says there was not a huge gulf in class, from where I was standing there was massive chasm in class between the two sides.

Do we know why Mark Nisbet didn't feature in the game? Was it just to give Brad Hewitt minutes or has he picked up an injury?

 

Also hope Simon Dunn's injury isn't too bad.

In which case i revise my comment too - whomever writes the reports needs their head looking at LOL! Even a huge chasm is still being fairly kind, having just read the report our website i had forgotten about Charlie Moone and Dan Hicks both missing sitters as well as the 3 times we hit the bar and the 5-6 very good svaes their keeper made, id say a more realistic assessment would be that they were lucky too keep the score too single figures.

Nis was ill on Thursday and Friday, was a feeling a little better yesterday but still not very good so we put Brad in.

 

Dunny tweaked his hamstring. Hoping it's not too bad and we'll see how he responds to treatment this week.
