Welwyn didn't look after the players that gave them that, players that had helped the club grow, gave 110% all the time and had the club at heart. They don't have players like that anymore. The manager looks to have got too excited with a bigger budget.

Early days but i agree to a point. I was dissapointed to see Caswell go, always gave 110%. Also Sam Perrin and a few others. I think Arnott is hanging on by his coat tails as well which is a shame

Sam Perrin was Mr WGC and a bloody good guy to boot. I was disappointed when he left Hoddesdon a few years back. Real leader.

Agree...Jay Lovell is another that springs to mind. Its difficult as i can see what the manager is trying to achieve but im also a firm believer of, a proper/tight team will always beat a more talented bunch of individuals.

Mind you just dont know the true stories, but most its because they want guaranteed playing time, which is understandable. Just wish it was at WGC still. Mind its a funny old game, they maybe back if The Boss hasnt peeved them off too much.

I noticed Caswell had left too. Wasn't he the clubs record goal scorer as well? Like you say... Clubs like to progress but having watched WGC a good few times over a number of seasons them loyal players were good enough to get them out of the Premier with a few added. I would be interested to see where Caswell and Perrin moved too. I see Lovell had joined his farther over at Hertford

Sam Perrin is with us.  He used to play for us before, so we were only too happy to have him back.

Brilliant news for you guys. Shame he's dropped down an Division as he could easily play at Prem level. Mind you, if he was at Hoddesdon before WGC, has he won promotion twice from Division One? I'm sure you must be pushing after your finish last season.

Harefield United 1 Southall 3

A big and much needed win for Southall FC today who are now back on course and i wonder if Southall legend Chris Barrett was in the Harefield United line up today?

Another defeat for Oxhey Jets today be it against a very decent team and im told that Tom Inch has left Hanwell Town and returned home to play for Oxhey Jets he is a very good player in my opinion and im a bit suprised Sir Duffy has let him leave.

Inchy is back at the jets and I have to say he looks like he's coming into his prime, scored what can only be described as "a bloody nice goal' in the LC game. I took a bit of a Jets hiatus after the disappointment of losing Tony Moore and the "golden generation". But this new crop of players could rival them. Returning former fan's faves Inchy, Lowtsy, Armittsy, along with the new lads Robertstonsy, Collinsy and Gary Warn have re-lit my Oxhey fire.

Yes i see Lee Armitt has returned home. The Jets need to get Sim Armstrong back in a Jets shirt. I would love to see the Jets back at the top end of the league in the mix.

Do you recall a player called Gavin Hart? Believe he was a CM a few seasons back?

Only one of my favourite players ever to grace an ssml pitch. Probably the most physically fit human being I've seen live and a bloody nice bloke too.
