No idea what you were watching 3spirit. Thought we were excellent. Dominated the game and created numerous chances particularly second half. Didn't think we took our foot of the gas at all. Always looking to stretch them and create more opportunities. Prime example being Gavin James who came on full of running and clearly keen to win his place book.

 

Great stuff Rebels.

 

Place book, Martin? lol !

 

Trouble is Gavin James needs to start scoring but I agree he worked hard when he came on.

Respect your opinion Neil but cannot agree.

 

I thought Slough was deserving of the victory and rightly won the game.

 

Did Slough work their socks off to win that game, really?

To me, a couple of our players were below par, if anything, and we still have areas to improve on, so that told me a lot about St Ives ! 

Where was the fighting spirit in the opposition team, they offered very little of that IMO.

 

That's why I thought we let them off the hook by not beating them by more.    

 

 

Certainly couldn't fault our work-rate and really not sure what players were below par?

 

I do agree that we should have beaten them by a lot more than the 3 goals but we created loads of chances and that for me was a real positive.

 

I think every team has areas to improve on and after a resounding 3-0 win that can only bode well for the future!

Gavin James did work hard when he came on but agree that as a number 9 he has to start scoring but I'm sure if he continues to work hard it will come.

Do you mean this season? Or do you mean since Neil and Jon was appointed Slough managers?

 

If you mean since they started as Slough managers, I think you can't have seen many of their games !!!

Since Neil and Jon were appointed..... if you disagree, name a few games when you think we've played better.

Great game to watch. I thought we could have been a bit more clinical in front of goal but overall who can complain when we win comfortably and clearly dominated the game.

 

Hard to pick motm as noone had a poor game. Was pleased to see lewis play so well and combining well with Paul down the left.

 

Would like to say I was impressed with the lino, let play go when the offside players were not "active" that could have got us an extra couple of goals in the second half.

 

Gutted I'm away and won't be at Cirencester or the Hayes game but will be listening in and cheering the team on.

I think this is the point, we dominated the game, played some really great football but should have scored more goals, welcome to the game of football !

Whether it's the best performance ever isn't the question but it was a full performance from every player. To see the likes of Putman running 40/50 yards back to tackle, just as Harris has done in games, shows the togetherness of the squad, something we haven't always seen. Sometimes the best way to judge a team is when they don't have the ball, today we dominated both with and without the ball.

difficult to say whether St Ives are a good or a poor side as we outplayed them in every department. Our successful pass rate was very high, workrate and running were first class and it was great to see that the players were truly enjoying themselves. A good way to leave HP as it was a game that will stay for some while in the memory.I go with those who made Dunn the MOTM but every player put in a great shift and I find it hard to think which two were not up to scratch, according to a 3spirit who really needs to take more water with it.

 

Just to end by thanking Beaconsfield for being a good landlord these past few years....and of course to look forward to our new life back in Slough
