manurgrate
What a start to the new season with a commanding display resulting in a 3-1 victory at Northwood!. In all honesty, Woods were probably relieved that the defeat wasn't even heavier as we hit the woodwork twice and had several other clear cut chances. The first goal is already a contender for " goal of the season", an exquisite move involving 4 players with the timing and weight of passing just right for Max Webb to cross and Flem to run across his defender to finish. We then added to our lead following a needless push in the back by Northwood's player manager on Bitz. As usual Mark converted the penalty. Mark then hit the bar from a free- kick, Dan missed from close range but then on half time we conceded from a free kick, which was disappointing. However Ashford carried on where they left off in the second half, our new signing ( don't know his name but looks like Marcus Rashford) scored with a fiercely struck left footed shot. That was the end of the scoring but we continued to play some lovely football and dominated the play. I picked our new signing, Max Herbert, as man of the match, but it could have been anyone as the entire team was superb.
fatboyatmfc
Yes, a cracking start from everyone. Kam English with a great strike for our third. It could have Been 5 or 6 in all honesty. Bayley won the man of the match but again that could have been any number of our players. I thought Romario was excellent alongside Russ and Max Herbert also did well on debut. Got to make it count now with the two home games coming up 3 points in the bag! Well done all!
