PSF v Harrow Borough

Recommended Posts

As a neutral (i just enjoy non league football) i was very impressed by Slough`s performance last night especially first half, Charlie Moon has a lot more to his game than just scoring goals and the lad who came on for Lewis Putman also impressed me, ps also thought the entry fee was a p*** take.

Good performance overall in a friendly that a few times seemed over physical. We have three decent strikers who all have goals in them as well as a good understanding of each other. Midfield was strong enough, and used properly, although the serious news  about  Gilkes is the less good bit there, and we hope Putts is less severe than it looked.....still a tough call to pick the four midfielders , as I assume Dobbo now comes into the equation. We seem safe enough at the back, again with good options. Though Sean and Guy were  exceptional last night, but the overall workrate was good to see.

Congratulations to Sean on being given the captaincy--this is well deserved and I am sure he will wear it well

.And for us oldies, well worth the fiver !!!

We looked good last night, but I'm not getting carried away because I have some doubts about the quality of the opposition.... their season doesn't start until the 13th, so they are probably behind us regarding their preparations, and the bookies (although I know they are frequently wrong) have them as likely to be relegated.

Roll on Saturday when points are up for grabs.

I agree a good all round performance. I believe Simon Dunn and Nathan could make a formidable midfield unit. I believe there is a bit of a quandary with Jackman. From what I have seen he has been very strong and adds extra height to the back four.

Also gutted about Gilkes. We seem to be haunted with players picking up picking up long term injuries at the start of the season. He was looking so sharp as well.

Looking forward to Saturday

ps Dave hope you get the waterworks sorted and get a good nights sleep !!

Rub it in Mr COX!!!

We went to Beaconsfield at the cost of £7 for the both of us and on top of that got abuse from some Jack the lad running slough down, bloody Donkey. Wish I'd stayed at home !!

Won't have to deal with them much longer!
