Jeff Hamnett AKA TSF
Who is GoHaG? Wingback 2000? Nosher? Does it matter? Should Dorking FC report PSFs? Is the Pope catholic? Can John MacEnroe swim? Do bears shit in the woods? Is a merger on the cards? Will Meadowbank become a supermarket? We could leave the rest of the ccl in peace and discuss DFC here. Free country, free forum, up to you. nosher
I am going to retire. I may have ruffled a few feathers with straight talking but people should be sufficiently robust to cope with that. Instead we have ended up with some serious accusations being made by Smudger, the sort of which may have a legal implication, and Young Veteran coming out having a pop at his professional colleagues previously in his role. I like to think I've helped this forum at a time when you were lucky to get one new post every week. But is seems like it's runs by a select band of fragile personalities who cannot handle the basic principles of a bulletin board ie Frank discussion and anonymity if that's what a user wants. I would like to say thanks to those who welcomed me and took me for what I am. So Rother, Krooner, Chris Clapham. I will come and support you next season. Even EE Rich. Someone I have argued with who will still take part in discourse. I will keep visiting them. I don't think I will be spending money at Dorking. Have a look at yourselves and try and keep this forum alive.

Go on have a giggle
By and large given up with Dorking FC , pause for the inevitable misguided sarcasm because of this post but ...... having checked the Twitter feed and in particular the last entry , is that correct that Dorking FC are playing the Essex team , Mark Wright and all , or is this another misguided publicity stunt . This based on historically this fixture having been between DWFC and Mr Wrights team and was previously advertised quite recently as a fixture under the banner of the Dorking Alliance. It isn't Dorking FC is it ? Now a confirmed Wanderer , where will this nonsense end. Probably not allowed this comment am I !
Jeff Hamnett AKA TSF
No Its not a Dorking FC fixture, its a charity game to help announce the Dorking Football Alliance and raise money for local youth football setups to develop players. It is a combination of players representing both Dorking Senior clubs. I don't think we've said anything different on twitter or elsewhere. Hope that clarifies. Jeff Hamnett AKA TSF
I see GoHaG. Thanks for pointing this out as it is yet another example of the new co-operation between the two clubs. Dorking Wanderers generous offer of a groundshare to help save Dorking FC has been matched by their actions, and they have made us feel extremely welcome. The picture you posted is a sign at Wanderers ground behind the stand facing the railway line announcing upcoming fixtures for both clubs. I'm fairly sure the two clubs names are permanently marked or printed, but the opposition is on a letter by letter basis. I also believe Wanderers sorted out the signage and maintain it. All very good of them and thanks due, so I wouldn't want to criticise the sign for the Essex FC game, more important to advertise it and the date. There may be many reasons why you want to follow Wanderers over Dorking GoHaG but I wouldn't put the signage down as a good reason.
Big J R
Or to put it another way, the Alliance is strong. For those, like myself, who don't bother to drive these days thanks to inconsiderate road-hogs and boy racers, but depend on public transport, the coming football season offers the unique opportunity to make your way down to Westhumble probably EVERY Saturday and get a mix of both Ryman and CCL football, AND support your two local senior treams.
