A hard-fought game that could have gone eitherway had anybody taken their chances. Ryan Spencer and Matt Miller went off injured and Ian Hodges had to be treated for a head injury, but a good value for money in my opinion.

maybe biased but i thought we had the more clear cut chances, but a draw was definitly a fair result, and against teams that play like that we've lost before. Progress has been made it seems

Yep, despite the nil-nil scoreline an entertaining game, well worth the train journey. Good atmosphere too, loads of Slough support and some noisy Marlow fans.

Hey, i think i've even managed to persuade my girlfriend to drive me to the Windsor game as part of my boxing day birthday present!

Slightly disappointed with the result, I was after revenge for the defeat earlier in the season. I thought we battled hard and had the better of the game (just). Better chances and better football.

 

The squad is looking thin (again) with Matty picking up what seemed a nasty injury.

 

I believe it is over a season and half since our last nil nil. Can Radders confirm?

Last league 0-0 was Dulwich Hamlet 0 - 0 Slough Town on the 6th of April 02..I think!

Definately no nil-nils either last season or up to Marlow this. So Dom is probably right with Dulwich. Have to say I don't remember that game although I'm not doubting Dom just my own memory! The last one I remember was an end of seaosn match at Wexham Park against Aldershot in either the 98-99 season or 99-00 and I believe a certain Dave Rainford got his marching orders for us. One things for sure, nil-nils are not something we're normally associated with!

Last one I can remember was Whyteleafe at home which would have been 01/02 when Antony Howard played in goal for us.

Oh yeah, that was one of the worst games of football I have ever seen. I wonder whether they knew that Howard wasn't a real keeper cos I remember thinking that they would shoot from anywhere yet they seemed content to just try and pass it in.

The last 0-0 i can remember before the Marlow game was 0n 2nd May 2000, and it was home against Aldershot. It was indeed an end of season game and it was our last home game of the season and nothing to play for.

It was our only pre-season game that we could have taken any pride out of.

We done alright at Northwood, considering it was a new team, new manager and greater opposition etc.

But Oxford was the only one we didn't lose.
