Fixtures

Recommended Posts

Following a meeting today with the Council I can report that all is progressing to plan with handover of the ground from the builder to the Council, still anticipated for mid-August.

With the release of the fixtures today, it is all becoming a reality.

There are no plans to alter any fixtures and we will advise the date of the first game in the new facility in due course. I appreciate that you are all keen to get in, as are we, however, we have to ensure that everything is in place and we are ready for the momentous occasion. There are many things that still need to be completed so we must ask for your continued patience.

That is the latest update on the club website.

Is it fair to assume then that we will play at least one "home" game at SYCOB

Just to clarify my input into this - as ARRAS  noted yesterday Kay Lathey had posted on the website (Thursday 21 July) that there would be no switching of games and I posted further confirmation of this by way of noting my sponsorship of the St. Neots game at Beaconsfield on 6 August . I was approached Tuesday this week regarding this sponsorship - I presume, understandably, that most people willing to sponsor games will do so when the new stadium is operational..

Seems Redditch are behind with their ground renovation, which I believe has 3G pitch, and will play the first 2 home games at alternative venues, so maybe the league don't allow the swapping of games

Ade You also need the OK from the other team, If it don't suit them ie the game could be on non-league day ect
