Foxy10
Has any relegated team to the C/C been promoted back to level 4 at the first attempt. I'm sure teams relegated from the Premier to Div 1 have gone back up at the first attempt, but who? Chessington & Hook did a couple of seasons ago, as did Sutton Common Rovers (Mole Valley as they were then) a few years back now. None have gone straight back up to step 4 from recent memory
E&E Rich
From Step 6 to Step 5, since Division One has been in operation in 2003/04. Chessington & Hook United in 2014/15 Mole Valley SCR in 2012/13 Dorking in 2008/09 Farnham Town and Horley Town in 2006/07 after both were forcibly demoted in 2005/06. Farnham were again denied promotion that season and had to wait a few more years before getting another chance. AFC Wallingford in 2005/06 although they never came up - don't know whether that was because they were denied or moved to another Step Five League As for bouncing back from Step 5 to 4, no club has done this since the steps were realigned in 2004, with Windsor being closest when they were runners up to Guildford in 2011/12. The signs don't look good for NGU and W&H based on this. Since Windsor in 2011/12 we had no clubs relegated to us in 2012/13 and 2013/14 but in 2014/15 we had: Ashford Town (Mx) 3rd, Guildford City 17th, Chertsey Town 20th: and in 2015/16: AFC Hayes 16th Redhill 20th
Tel
Obviously the strength of the top C/C teams against a relegated team from step 4 will make it very hard to get the single promotion spot. Will the two teams change things, possibly not, Hartly Wintney, Camberley, Bedfont Sports are my contenders for a top spot. After watching Abbey a few times last season they could well finish top six.
nosher
Camberley have lost a few haven't they? Sports have the Bamfords back so a few quid on them to go close as its not what their legs can necessarily do these days but what standards they demand.
