Unless your Hartley then it will still be a Kings Ransom !!!!!! even after half time lolWould there be enough income to put the customary 10/- note in the players boot if they won. For the youngsters out there, 10/- is a short way of writing 10 shillings and that's of course 50p today

Half a Crown, (2/6p or 12 &1/2 p) for 20 Gold Leaf fags and still 7s 6d for three pints of Watneys Red Barrel. The real good old days !
Tel
Big J R I'm afraid I go back a bit further than you, my first pint was 1/6d and a bag of crisps were 3d. My tipple Mild & Bitter, no lager available in those days, MEMORIES, MEMORIES, MEMORIES

A pint of mild - Just over a shilling, as I recall.

As I was born Jan 47 our ages are very close my local was The Hope & Anchor Hanworth it was not the best place to get involved. I had most of my early pints in the Saloon bar leaving the Public for the others, hence my pint cost a few pence more.
Love the game
Two games for Knaphill today. First and Reserves v Worcester Park. Results not a priority at this stage but nice to get two wins and blow away a few cobwebs.
