The club are pleased to announce the signing of centre back Lee Matthews from Dagenham & Redbridge for a club record 5 figure fee.

 

Negotiations commenced between the two clubs early last Monday and Manager George Borg saw Lee as being the penultimate piece of the jigsaw in his quest for the Premier League Championship this season.

 

The injury to Steve West somewhat negates that plan but Lee is an excellent player and will not only cover for Steve in the short term but also help to take the club forward in the long term.

 

Lee has signed a two year full time professional contract and will go straight into the squad for tommorrows game against high flying Hayes.
