...The Man Who by Travis.

 

I tell you, that album benefits from not having heard it for quite some time.

 

Never been much of a Travis fan, but in hindsight there's some lovely songs on there.

Yep, Travis are a lot like Stereophonics in some respects. They've lost their edge as time has gone on. I mean if you listen to 'good feeling' their first album, it is incredible. The songs are just amazing and the same can be said for some of the tracks on The Man Who. Maybe it's inevitible that as a band grows older they loose some of that energy but there is a certain spark about the band that seems to have been lost on the third and fourth album. But that's just my opinion!

Saw them on Saturday, some of their new stuff is decent, but I prefered the support act, Kings of Leon, a very goood live act.

 

Getting back from Alexandra Palace was a bit of a nightmare though.

Good to see Atomic Kitten struggle to number 8, whilst the boyband I hate more than any other boyband - Blue - failed to make the Top Ten at all!

It's number 48, which must be a bit depressing considering Basil Brush is higher at number 44.
