TopGun
Greetings Enfield Towners .... As some of you will know by now Glynn Hyatt Died yesterday morning aged 97 after a short Illness . Most of you will remember his writings in the Enfield Gazette during our Enfield FC days . I'm sure many of you will have fond memories of him during that time. I don't believe he had any close family but condolences to his long term companion Helen Clarke. REGARDS TONY W.
littlehampton
Many thanks for sharing this very sad news Tony. Glynn was a great guy, a real character, and he was always passionate and knowledgeable about everything connected with Enfield FC. Despite living some distance away, he always managed to get to matches, and will be fondly remembered and missed by everyone who knew him during the Southbury Road days. Commiseration and deepest sympathy to Helen at this difficult time. JJ
TopGun
Thankyou JJ I know he had a heavy heart over the split in 2001 , But apart from one person at Enfield Town he never spoke badly of anybody else there. Glynn's funeral is on Wednesday 13th July at Mortlake Crematorium at 4pm Townmead Road Richmond TW9 4EN. I know he kept in touch with Dave Bryant and and Jim Chandler who he always spoke well of . No flowers please says Helen. Best wishes Tony W.
littlehampton
Thanks for the update on Glynn's funeral arrangements Tony. Don't know how many people will be able to get over to Richmond mid-week, but sure many would wish to pay their last respects to Glynn, albeit in mind and spirit.Think many Enfield folk still reflect upon the split in 2001 with a heavy heart, even though much has happened since then. We can't live in the past, but need to learn from the experience, and keep looking to the future. Who knows, perhaps one of these days, like minds might get together again.RIP Glynn.
