New signing announced this evening - Lee Togwell from Beaconsfield.

 

IMO a very good little signing for us. Has played at this level and was by far and away Beaconsfield's best player last season. Gets in good positions, can pick a pass extremely well, can play in multiple positions giving options and can also score a goal. Add to that lot his determination and hard work / teamwork ethic and I think this will work out very nicely for us.

As he has played for Chalfont St Peter, Burnham and Beaconsfield ,it doesn't take a lot of imagination to think Chesham were after him.

 

Good steady player IMO. Certainly a trier, and now has plenty of experience which he put to good use by encouraging and leading Beaconsfield's young team on the pitch last season.

Worth a punt on him for our squad.

 

Makes you wonder what is going on at SYCOB? They've lost their manager, captain and rumours that their chairman has left.

What with their tenants leaving, sounds like they are up the creak without a paddle.

So much for my previous comment on a different thread, that they are getting their house in order ! How wrong could I be !

Although it appears there's a decent academy link up at Beaconsfield SYCOB with their chairman leaving (he was only appointed recently!), plus their manager leaving for a club a level below and next to no support not sure how they'll survive unless they drop a few levels.

Agree Beaconsfield face a tough season, could even follow Burnham's route. Shame they can't command more support, but the ground is pretty much inaccessible on foot or by public transport & is not exactly the sort of facility that would encourage people to turn out. We know this ourselves and can consider ourselves lucky to have attracted as much support as we did on a regular basis.

If we were playing today my starting eleven would be:

Scott

Stonehouse, Hollis, Nisbet, Fraser

Harris, Dunn, Webb, Putman

Moone, James

 

The fact that Paul Stonehouse is a left back and Sean Fraser is a right back has you somewhat confused, Glen !
