Now that the pre-season games have been announced, have to say I'm disappointed that we haven't a Conference team to play. I was hoping Woking would have been on the list, being that we are missing out on the publicity in playing league teams at our new stadium.

 

Other than that, the Hendon Tournament looks like a worthwhile event and the Harrow Borough game will stand us in good stead for when we commence the league games.

Nice that we've got a sort of home game, too, against Beaconsfield.

I've been looking to find details on this Hendon Tournament and there is none not even on the Hendon web site.

Hendon have only just announced that they've got a new home stadium, plus their bloke who runs their website is moving home I read on their forum, so probably haven't had the time to announce anything yet.

They've had time to announce a friendly with Hitchin on the 21st July.

It is still 2 months away.

 

Just getting a bit fed up with all the ridiculous posts going on this forum, mostly by the same half a dozen people - like some in this thread for example

When did they make you in charge of it?

 

Look ARAAS not looking for an argument but what is the point of a forum, if you going to be shot down for asking a question [however inane it's deemed to be].

If in your esteemed opinion some of the posts on this forum by the same half dozen people are ridiculous, with respect, can I suggest that you don't waste your valuable time reading them or replying to them.

Honestly I spend a lot less time doing so than I used to.

 

This thread is a prime example. Neil came on the forum basically listing the likely opponents for pre season a few weeks ago. Why then would it be necessary to state that someone is disappointed by the fact there is no conference team in there.

Why not?

 

It's a football forum where people are entitled express their thoughts and opinions regardless if some people might think they are ridiculous or don't agree with them.

I think my point is very valid, the fact that you don't like it, is irrelevant.

 

It is always the same on this forum, that certain fans of the club think they are running the show and that they can tell other fans what they can and can't post on the forum.

 

That isn't fair or democratic. That is like trying to run the forum as a dictatorship.

 

Considering we all 'support' the same team, I can't see why individuals get upset about such trivial comments.

As Reading Rebel has said, if you don't like what fans post, don't come on the forum.

That is your choice.
