Although a Slough supporter for over 50 years and once on the committee and manage to watch most Slough home games, but now living in Kings Langley approx.100 metres from the ground as the crow flies I now have a different local derby.

I have seen 3 games this year and they are a very big side with two strong central defenders and like to play football through the middle.and have a striker  Mitchell Weiss who averages 30 goals a season.

Although they have gained three consecutive promotions unless they sign some more experienced players they will struggle. They have three pitches at the ground but are a typical village club averaging attendance is 84. The facilities will struggle when Slough visit. Parking will also be a major problem unless they utilise some of their spare ground/ or one of the pitches.

Does anyone know when the Step 5 and below are arranged/released, interested as to where Burnham will end up after relegation.

In regards to H+Y according to someone we were speaking to last weekend, he didn't think they would be into their new ground until Christmas!

I'm not complaining but not sure why they've put Havant in the Ryman and Hayes in the Southern.

I still think it's ridiculous having Kings Lynn in the Southern rather than putting them in the Ryman or Northern.

Kings Lynn does make sense, it's about there road access. Due to very limited motorway access to the north it would be unfair to put them into the northern. Southern over Ryman is more debatable but they have far more "local" games in the southern than they would have in the Ryman.

H&W and H&Y I guess again due to travel reasons it is easier for H&Y to get to the northern games in the Southern league and would have less total travelling than H&W.

Only guessing though really.

KL were moved from the NPL last season. The FA tries to avoid moving clubs at Step 2 and 3 from north to south two years running. Gloucester and Worcester benefitted from this in the past.

Doesn't seem to bother the FA so much at Step 4 where Godalming have been moved 6 times in 9 years.

Reference Alan Greenaway's post - he was one of the travelling supporters I was referring to in an earlier post. Apart from Rebel Delaney there is for instance also a very long term supporter who lives in the Wooton Bassett area near Swindon. I have known him for yonks and he used to give me a lift when his very grown up sons were toddlers for which I thank him.

Al Greenaway - I meant to say - so no chance driving to Kings Langley, getting bevies and then kipping at your place? Got room for about 50?

Alan said he will arrange reserved match day parking with Paula doing lunches.
