Manning the stretcher is supposed to be the duty of the home stewards or failing that the home subs. Thats why Borg, eventually realising he could get in trouble, sent your subs on to help carry Lewi off.

 

As for the band, it just isn't funny when a player is going off in an ambulance, and no-one really knew what was wrong with him. Does Marc-Vivien Foe ring any bells to you?

 

And yes, thanks to the Ricay fan, we do indeed have a great history as our successes from the last 6 years or so that I outlined above demonstrates.

What annoyed me at the start of this post is that Hornchurch fans were being slated over a mis-understanding on their part. The band may have been a little distasteful and GB tactless BUT that is not the fault of the fans is it?

 

For your fan Monty to then called a bunch of ladies he's never spoke to ( Urchinettes) "essex fat slags" was out of order. As for the Indian and the lager, well is that the fault of Hornchurch FC too?

I am glad that someone pointed out that Lewington was running about like a deranged road runner trying to attack everything in a red and white shirt after that tackle...Obviously from that no one could possibly know how bad his injury was because of his actions.

I didn't criticise your fans, only your manager and the brass band. And the fact Lewi went down after the scrap meant we weren't sure what he'd hurt, and a few people thought it was a neck injury. (After your fella had him in a headlock, but fair enough he was only defending himself, Lewi was stupid to react.)

I don't want to get stuck into this slanging match about who did what or why, but someone did say they FA/League would throw our report into the bin - regardless of whether they do or not, they certainly will listen to what the referee has reported you for...

 

My main gripe is with the behaviour of someone employed to represent Hornchurch, and it is a shame that your club can be tarnished by someone like George Borg. Once again he was all to quick to rise to the bait and even comments like "shut up" were greeted with responses such as "f*ck off you pr*ck". You've got problems there. He did run onto the pitch once, he did venture out of his technical area on a number of occasions, he did swear at the linesman, and best of all he did lob a bottle down along the athletics track in our direction.

I've reviewed the video numerous times now and the tackle on west was outrageous and should have led to a sending off...likewise the tackle on Lewington...
