JUDAS.......JUDAS.......!

Only joking......

Good Luck to Danny, in the short time he was with us he served us well...

I do believe we will be a better team without him though....yes of course his 30-40 goals a season will be missed but like I said in an earlier posting the team he plays for can become to dependant on him and too one dimensional...!

Saying all this I do honestly believe that the momentum is now with ETFC and they will go on to win the league....

Contract.....what contract...

We was all led to believe that he had signed one...!

Obviously not.....

If we can get a positive result against Concord in the cup tomorrow...

then London APSA on the 3rd Jan...I believe it'll be a very close game when Ilford entertain ETFC on the 10th.

I haven't seen or spoken to the players since the recentr developments but I would expect Mr Clarke to get a rough ride.....!

If its true,then i'm delighted.

Regarding ETFC current forwards.....Cooper can easily switch to the left/right wing.

That would leave Clarke,Cove and Smith fighting for 2 places up front.

And hasn't Smith played some games in midfield?

That's it,Iv'e just sorted it for Jim.....Clarke/Cove up-front...Cooper cutting in from the left wing....and Smith playing in the hole, behind the forwards. <img src="/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

IF The First Prince of the Town were back he has at least a 5 week suspension to serve for his crimes for Ilford, so there is plenty of time for Billy Cove, Lee Smith and Ian Cooper to make positions their own.

Daniel is also cup tied on a lot of competitions.

Others like Peter Ulatowski are going to have to work very hard to get out of the reserves (I mean Brimsdown Rovers).

Billy Cove is not on loan from East Thurrock, my understanding is that he turned them down.

Last season we played Danny Clarke up front on his own and they sometimes marked him 3,4,5,6 deep. That is fine now because we have Billy, Lee and Ian all of whom are equal if not better than Daniel. But the competition up front needs to be tough!

Jim is making it clear that whoever gets picked to play is there because they are good enough to pull on a Town Shirt. And they will do it with pride, passion, determination and a good measure of quality or go find a no hope club elsewhere. Danny learnt the lesson the hard way.

What is it with you and Town centre-forwards Cleggy.

First you seemed to have a problem with James Bunn (possibly justified)....then you seemed to turn your attentions to Clarky...Give him a break...what you see is what you get with Clarky.

I don't think Ulatowski has a chance of getting back in contention now....apart from his 2 hat-trick games at the end of last season,he has been disapointing.

Maybe Cooper,Smith,Cove are more 'complete' forwards..But Clarke is the best goalscorer...Don't forget Clarke has never really had a quality striker in parnership with him before...you watch the goals go in if Jim can find the correct mix up-front.

If you look at the numbe rof shots we have had on target; or how many saves keepers have had to make over the last few games, it is less than 6.

Yes even the Burnham game; 6 shots 4 goals.

Flackwell; couple of shots one goal.

If DC is on his way back to ET then the ration should improve

I didn't dislike James, he was skillful and could win a game with a single kick or flick, but we needed his genius every match and when he played for us it wasn't to be.

Daniel is a great player and as the championship showed last season he was consistent for the town. I confess I was concerned whilst he was at Ilford they did have a real chance. I love Daniel back at the Town. Will I stop the mind games? Na ain't my style.

I see the championship now between us and the exCanvey Island boy Daniel Heale now.

If all the quality players we have available comes together in the right mix for Jim nobody will stop us from retaining the championship but we are going to have to work and work hard on the pitch, on the terraces and on the web. Players, supporters and management - one team.

One team, one game, vocal support, never underestimate the Western League, plenty of good luck from the League and what do we have - a Xmas victory over Torrington and bring on Chertsey. All the best tomorrow to Enfield Town in the F A Vase !
