On the day, the best team won although both keepers were rarely troubled. Shame we went out with not much of a fight. What was annoying was our passing back in the last half an hour when we should of at least had a go at them. The heat did not help but we were lacking in ideas. After watching the match from 1970 the other night, makes you appreciate what a team we had then.

Perhaps in the build up to the European Championship Sven should devote a bit more time to the youngsters, who may just WANT to play for their country, and not simply take selection for granted?
