andydick
To all our supporters, many thanks for your support, not just yesterday but throughout the season. At the beginning of the season, our ambition was to get promoted, which was a realistic ambition of probably 8 teams. We just failed to do this. We will now have to lick our wounds, see where we can improve on and off the pitch and start the hard work all over again. For myself, there have been plenty of positives and the club is now in the enviable position of not owing a penny to anyone apart from us directors. We don't have a sugar daddy or a 4g pitch (not a coincidence that both promoted teams played on plastic which brings in plenty of money), but what we have is a group of people who allow every penny of profit go on the playing budget. On Friday night we have the supporters club presentation. All the players will be in attendance. 8pm, disco, buffet and free admission for all. This club is about you, the supporters. You are the ones who keep me going. Come along friday and have a beer and chat. Thanks,Colin
blackballed
I've been involved with this club for longer than I care to remember, going through many ups and downs, but that's all history. What matters now is where this club is going and the group of people now running our club are real football people therefore our club could not be in better hands. It is now up to us fans to help take our club to the higher level, I now I keep saying our club but that's what it's all about we are like a family. So getting back to how us as fans can help, we need to increase our fan base, next year has been made harder to increase this by West Ham moving to OS taking some 20,000 extra supporters out of the area, this will effect all local teams, so get out there spread the word and get people talking about the Urchins again. I would like to thank all those involved with the club this season for making it an enjoyable one and thanking it to the wire. Someone said on Sunday U R Chins, so remember this and be proud. Onward to next season COYU ....
Wivenhoe Urchin
I thought our performance at thurrock was excellent, it was clear that harlow were on fine form and were helped by a pitch they knew well. Good effort from us and although it's early to say I would've thought next season we can finish higher than 5th. As for west ham they will only get those round here that support them going and the majority don't support them so doubt it will drop our attendance all that much!
