Stanners66
As one of those who absolutely should have known better I have already passed on my humble apologies to our Chairman and am still very embarrassed by myself. Most of you on here know me and I apologise to all Ian
littlehampton
Thanks to everyone who has left comments on this match. Having viewed Cold End's video highlights, and read the comments relating to the confusion over shirts, I am puzzled as to why colours were not agreed in advance of the match, and why we couldn't have played in our normal blue/white, or even perhaps all white strip. It is easy to be wise after the event, but it is surely a little embarrassing for Town to have to play a cup final in Uxbridge shirts isn't it?Good to hear Jim Cunneen got up for the game. Shame it was the wrong result. Look after yourself fellah!
Enfield United
Littlehampton- Northwood were the home team and had declared they'd be wearing their home colours but turned up in a kit which clashed with our yellow kit and indeed the back was black and clashed with the referees. As the designated away team we had to find another coloured top. It was unfortunate and a farce which we replicated in the performances on and again unfortunately off the pitch. Bad day for the club glad it's all over and hopefully we can start the new season running
Tom S
They may have told us they'd be wearing red but it appears they told the Middlesex FA they'd be in black and yellow as that's what was printed in the programme. Surely the same notification should have been given to all parties. Someone screwed up somewhere.
