Personalised bricks

Wondering if it's possible to have a wall somewhere in the new ground where fans can buy a brick and have a message on it. I'd personally would really like to do this so I could write something regarding my dad just to make it feel he's part of it even though he's not here anymore and would be a lovely memory plus giving some money to the club. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only fan interested in this and obviously it could be any message.

Glen, It's a great idea and a great way of raising some money for the club.

Good idea need to get the contribution right though My local club Ilminster Town were very successful with a £50 brick Penn and Tylers Green are asking £250 for their bricks what do members think is acceptable Also since we dont own any wall would we be allowed to do this?

I also think this is a great idea. My father introduced me to STFC approx. 55 years ago and it would be a great way to post a memorial.

In terms of a building could this not form the basis of a permanent clubshop? Built and

financed and by the supporters in memory of supporters

I might be wrong but I think a club shop is going to be built as part of the facility.

If for whatever reason actual bricks can't be used, maybe plaques could be made and attached to bricks or some other part of the main stand? I just hope somehow it could happen as I wanted to spread my dads' ashes but being a 3G that wouldn't have been practical plus we've spread them now anyway and this idea would create lasting memories of all loved ones who have passed on plus of course it can be for current fans who want their name (or business) showing their support for the club.

I started watching with my dad a big fan forty seven years ago.

Think this is a good idea if possible to remember good memories that we both had over the years watching the Rebels together.

While I think it is a good idea to have personalised bricks as a tribute to those departed, I believe it would be as beneficial to try to attract those still in the land of the living, especially childen /youngsters to have their names imprinted on the brinks, as they are the future of the club.

Plus it's a good way of getting an affinity for the club.

3spirit, I think the idea is for anyone to buy a brick, not just for our departed friends, for a little bit of history and as a good way of raising some funds.

Building on this idea. Possibly their could be two separate options; one being a permanent individual plaques or bricks to tribute departed supporters, second option being temporary one season large plaque with any ones names on it. The individual plaques would probably be more expensive but obviously long term would be much cheaper.

To be honest I'd buy two straight away, one in memory of my dad who introduced me to the Rebels and was with me at nearly every game I watched and another one for myself and family. I think we could easily sell a couple of hundred 'bricks' raising a good few thousand.

I know, RR. It just seemed we were turning this wall into a sad memorial, where really it needs to be a heart warming, positive experience for all.

At Twickenham stadium they have personalised bricks in various sections around the arena on the pavement.

Not sure if the temporary plaque for one season would have a great response.

My personal opinion is that supporters will be more interested and pay more to have a permanent brick or plaque.

3spirit I'm sure for whatever reason someone buys a brick, whether it is for a lost loved one or for themselves or the family, I'm sure it will also be a positive and heart warming experience.
