lazarus
Is that a misprint? If not, I dread to think of the standards of those teams that London Bari beat to get to the sf. I know our ladies are good but 22-1 must be a record score for a semi-final anywhere.
Swifty
I checked the Full-Time website and it was indeed 22-1! Ashley Cheatley scored 11 (eight in the first half), Lavana Neufville scored seven (including the other four before half time when the ladies went in 12-1 ahead), Irisha Smith got a second half hat-trick as well, and Beth Sheehan weighed in with the other goal. I found out from the web that the trophy's for sides in the lower divisions of the Greater London Women's League and it was founded in memory of the league's secretary Sue Sharples, who'd also played for Tottenham Hotspur Ladies. SlimBoyFat
Swifty, 12-0 at half time, London Bari scored when they were 16-0 down. Fair play them, I might have gone home by then lol. They finished fourth in Division 3 North only winning 12, drawing 1 and losing league games. The team we have in the final won that league losi ng three of 22and beat London Bari twice but only 1-0 and 2-0. Nice day out at Hampton on the 15th ? 11am kick off. Swifty
Curious. The Full-Time website suggests we were replaced in the final by London Bari, who lost 4-0 to New London Lionesses.
Tel
Maybe a view from the management, I saw the 4-0 result, thought it must have been an error. How can you score 22 goals and not make the final.
fatboyatmfc
I believe there was a clerical error with one of our players in the semi final and we withdrew from the final.
