[A Rebel and a Saint]

Are any fellow Rebels staying in Merthyr over the weekend? I'm having an extended weekend (today until Monday) so it would be good to meet with anyone around for an end of season drink. I know there are some staying in other places too.

No road map just about sums up this "dead rubber" season.

 

There was only one important result this season and that was the ground and that result looks like it is going the right way.

 

Now off to have a break from the disappointments' of this season and hope a plan emerges for an improvement next season.

Clive, IMO we really can't be too disappointed about this season. We are in a division that is tough and of a very good standard.

 

Considering we have had no ground of our own IMO I think we have done exceptionally well to compete with teams that have a budget that dwarfs ours and some of those i.e. Kettering and Weymouth to name just two have failed to even make the play-offs, and remain in this division.

 

Next season we will have our own ground and be much stronger to compete with the moneybags of the Southern Premier Division, so it's not all doom and gloom and personally I'm looking forward to our new ground, the new additions to our squad and a season that promises to be a very exciting to say the least.
