More consistent this year?

PJ-STFC

Recommended Posts

I seem to remember that for the last two (or three?) seasons, STFC's results during November and thereabouts were dismal, however good the team played at the start of the season. We could not win a match against anyone.

This year I think the performance has been rather more consistent - by which I mean we are just as likely to win/lose now as we were in September <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Anyone else noticed this? or is my mind playing tricks on me?

(OK, so the recent team performance is still not very consistent [last two matches excepted - 14 goals in four days!!]. My point is that, if anything, the average performance has gradually improved, whereas in the previous seasons mentioned it got steadilly worse as the season progressed towards Christmas.)

I would agree with that I think. I don't think the quality of football is as good, but the workrate is better and as a result, we're being consistent and not having 'patches'. Still not as high in the league as we were last season though.
