ampthillboy9
Lots of games off yesterday is there any plan as to how clubs are going to fit all games in? Also see that we are due to play Woodford away on 5th of May. Not sure why as we were told that Woodford were being fined for non full mentioned of fixture when they cancelled with a days notice a couple of weeks back. Don't understand why we should be made to travel and play 4 games in a week!!
Karen Browne
Woodford were being fined for non full mentioned of fixture when they cancelled with a days notice a couple of weeks back. Yes the offending club is charged and normally fined but the game still has to be played - the SSML does not award points except in the Reserve Sections
ampthillboy9
So just when it seemed it couldn't get any more ridiculous. We now have to travel to Southall on a Thursday night two days after playing Risbourgh away. We have a free Saturday this week and two home games on Saturdays against local clubs but again have to travel to ridiculous mid week games!!!! It was my understanding that the league was extended to stop clubs having to travel. No doubt the league will make excuses for this again!! Big J R
Not sure about your League, but I'm pretty sure it is universal. Clubs can only call-off games 'early' if sanctioned by the League in advance. If they do, then they have breached rules and will suffer the League penalties. I'm afraid it's the old old story - 'If you don't like the heat, then don't go in the kitchen !!'
