Kings Lynn Town

Recommended Posts

The Kings Lynn media team sat next to us in the press box were all very disappointed in their teams lack of effort and intensity today.

Maybe because they were on the back foot, were losing or they had lost the game?

I witnessed a game that was keenly fought and given that Mark Scott was our MOTM was perhaps a clue as to how the game eventually panned out.

As always RR differences of opinion are what a forum are designed for. I obviously wasn't alone in my judgment as SRJ has said Kings Lynn fans had a similar opinion and I spoke to at least 3 other people at the end of the game/when walking out who thought the same as me. That's not to say your opinion doesn't matter as of course it does. But the game that I watched was rather stale and devoid of intent, especially on their part, and didn't have the same intensity as the game against Chippenham 2 weeks ago. We had to be at our best to win that game, I don't think we did yesterday. Angry may not have been the right word but I think fans who have made as long a journey as theirs had deserve better than a team going through the motions. Their manager didn't seem to leave his bench once to motivate the team and although I won't make Merthyr next week, if we were to show such little passion after such a lengthy trip I would be angry with our team last game of the season or not. However, I trust in Neil and Jon that they would find that just as unacceptable.

Sue, Is that the person who has turned to the dark side of corporate big teams that he used to be so fiercely against, saying that they were the worst thing about football, and would never put money into, where he now has a season ticket :)

He'll be wearing a suit next :)

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one Radders. I thought both teams wanted to win the game and put the effort in to do so.

As you say it's all about opinions.

Wins haven't been that frequent recently so I'm not sure we should really dwell on debate whether our opponents tried hard enough. In all honesty most teams fans vent frustration about things like that after defeat its what fans do.

Decent performance from us. 1st half was where most the chances seemed to happen. Both teams had some good chances with Kings Lynn hitting post and having effort flicked off line by I believe Warren Harris

2 well taken goals in what did have a bit of a feel of end of season game the nearer the game got to ft. 2nd half didn't really seem to have many chances

Definitely nice to get another win and hopefully we can end the season on a high next week
