I would hope Slough will be playing for pride and team places for next season.

 

It would have been nice to have had a run of wins to give out a positive vibe ready for the move into the new ground to attract some decent gates, but only 2 wins in the last 13 games is not going to inspire many to take the plunge.

Clive, not sure winning a few games at the back end of a season will dictate how many will come through the gate at the new ground.

Finished 2-0 win with Barney getting both goals.

 

Felt quite like a nothing match with neither team playing at full intensity. We won't mind though as we come away with 3 points and go back ahead of Frome on goal difference.

 

With 4 postponements today a couple of teams are going to have a busy week.

I think both teams wanted to win the game with both teams giving there all.

Sorry reading but can't agree with that at all. I thought we played well enough but was disappointed verging on angry with kings Lynn's display. Felt they didn't want to be there today, only the number 6 seemed to have any fight, the rest of them were walking through the game and had no passion or drive throughout. The visiting fans deserved better irrespective of whether it's an end of season match or not. But anyway, we did well with Lee barney showing again that he is a fantastic striker with great finishing ability especially the first goal. Also, I hear that guy Hollis cleaned up at the end of season awards (and deservedly so) but in the last 3-4 games I have seen Sean Fraser has been immense, whether at right back or centre half and could well have taken some of the awards as well. Won't be able to make next week but have enjoyed the season and can't wait for the new campaign and the exciting changes we all have to look forward to!!! Have a great summer everyone.

Radders, not sure how you can be angry with KL's display   :huh: teams can only play as well as the opposition let them.

 

KL missed a few chances and only a good display from Mark Scott kept them at bay so not sure how you can say that they didn't want to be there today. Only 2 really good worked goals from Barney won the game for us.

 

As you say Sean Fraser has played well for the last few games (I'd say he's he's been consistently good for most of the season) but Guy Hollis considering his circumstances has been a rock for most of the season.

Thought we were excellent first half displaying terrific work rate and urgency and maybe deserved to be more than one up at the break. Maybe some of the lads tired a bit second half as the speed dropped visibly and that let Lynn back in to the game and I also felt that they tried hard to change things(sorry Radders!). and a couple of good saves made sure they didnt.

 

MOTM for me was close between Sean and Nathan taken over the 90 minutes and the three points are still welcome in any game.

Totally agree with your analysis of the game Graham.

 

I thought we could of been a couple of goals to the good at half time and with KL pressing for an equaliser in the second half Mark Scott kept us in the game.

 

A bit ludicrous to say that say KL didn't want to be there today.
