Promotions and relegations

Recommended Posts

With redditch being deducted 3 points it looks like Poole should go on to win the league. Poole are 6 points ahead with a game in hand. With last seasons collapse you might not bank on them just yet though.

Histon are officially relegated and it looks like Paulton, Bedworth and Bideford will join them.

The central league is very tight at the top with Egham, Royston, Kings Langley and possibly St Ives all in with a shout of winning the league.

Team, played, points

Egham, 38, 75

Kings Langley, 38, 75

Royston, 37, 73

St Ives, 38, 71

At the other end of the table North Greenford are almost relegated mathematically. (They would have to win all their games in hand and turn around a big goal difference to have any chance what so ever)

In the south and west league the league title is between Banbury, Cinderford and Taunton with Cinderford best placed to win. (Joints on points with Banbury at the top but Cinderford have 2 games in hand)

At the other end Bashley are definitely relegated after one of the worst league performances ever other than Woodford a few years ago. Burnham also look like going down but could turn it around.

Poole now only needing 3 points from 3 games to win the title.

Good scrap for the play-off places with possibly perenial under achievers Weymouth, the best team Rebel Delaney has seen ;), dipping out.

Bideford are the fourth team to be relegated tonight after losing 1-0 to Merthyr.

RR your right Weymouth have flattered to decieve but i make comments on games i see not what i hear on rebels radio and twitter.

On the day they beat us 6-1 they were outstanding they made the game look easy with out trying so we had a weaken team but we did against Chippenham.

What a difference in desire application and attitude in those games by the team.

With there experience players ground support and sponsers at there disposal they should of won the league.

RD, you commented on what you witnessed on the day and that was that in your opinion that you had just watched the league winners.

Obviously Weymouth did look good on the day but ably assisted by a very poor Slough performance.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm looking forward to playing Havant and Waterlooville if they are put in the Southern Premier.

Some of their supporters must be living in a Conference bubble if they think they are going into a division where they will be playing teams that think '100 is a massive crowd' and a division that is 'full of village teams that don't have running water'

I think they are in for a rude awakening.

Saw them at Maidenhead and thought they acquitted themselves very well, so surprised they ended up relegated. Mind you St.albans and Bath were useful too and they didn't (get relegated).

Can't disagree with the crowds of 100+ for 3 or 4 clubs but I don't think any are village teams as would be found at step 4 and below.
