Easy

The club has nine games left of which four are on Saturdays (Harefield United, Sun Sports, St Margaretsbury and Tring Athletic)

The remaining midweek games (Hadley and Leverstock Green - both played the night before), (Oxhey Jets, London Tigers and Stotfold - were all playing last night)

No one is doubting that the fixtures secretary doesn't have a difficult job. Once again, yes the weather has played havoc with fixtures. However, better all round planning from the league needs to improve (a bit like the standard of refereeing :o ).

The league does not learn lessons from seasons gone by. Bad enough clubs aren't given every support by the FA in order to gain a promotion, as they seem hell bent on doing everything in their power to make it as difficult as possible.

Once again football is the loser and sooner rather than later people will just give it up.

Another easy  one then why did London Colney  go 2 weeks   from 22/9 to 6/10 without  a first team fixture of  any  sort , 3 or 4 games   were lost   in that  period  when the weather  is   still reasonable , Fa cup / vase  is  not an excuse  for  no fixtures  over  a 2 week period .

Clubs want Saturday football.

There are 39 Saturdays

Clubs have 42 games thus only three midweek dates increased to five when you remove one Saturday for first matches in FA Cup and FA Vase.

Therefore first Tuesdays will be finished mid September hence no midweek games after that date other than cup football and re-arranged games due to FA Cup and FA Vase progression.

Next season clubs will be playing every Tuesday until December with the plans I have put forward by arranging no fixtures for January and February

(No doubt clubs will then moan about playing too much football and having no nights to train)

Bedford 1 Harefield United 2

Two goals from Melford THE GIANT Simpson.

If he stays at Harefield next season he will be a handful for first division defenders. ;)

I love it - although I'd probably only go until approx. mid-November - but Sod's Law will dictate that we'll have perfect footballing weather in January / February 2017

Why go from one extreme to another. First match Tuesday's up to mid-Sep may not be enough. But first Tuesday's right until December is too much if it means no sat fixtures in Jan and Feb. Why not do first matchTuesday's up to end Oct and just skip Jan fixtures? Once clocks go back people just do not go out as much in the evenings so attendances for November evening fixtures fall off a cliff.

By the way I would not want the headaches Karen has to deal with. Just appreciate that she does listen and is always flexible and makes good suggestions when we have issues with a fixture.
