Today's game

I just got a message from Mark Hunter when I turned on my phone at 10am saying as long as there is no more rain the game will be on. Not entirely sure when it was sent though. It's not raining in Slough at the moment and the latest forecast says no more rain until after the game.

Hungerford are desperate for the win to keep in contention for the play-offs.

With unavailability due to holidays and injuries I think it'll need an exceptional performance to get anything from the game.

Goes without saying ! but must stay positive and live in hope of an upset......

Wonder what the line up will be today?

ReadingRebel Hungerford may well be desperate for the win but Im sure thats been true in all their recent games where theyve lost 3 out of the last 5 They are not playing well and will feel under pressure so Im surprised so many of our supporters are writing us of before a ball is kicked

Pitch was playable but very bobbly.

Finished 2-0 loss, still no goals and very little in the way of dangerous shots on target. Being generous we had 5 shots on target but most were soft headers or straight at the keeper which never troubled him. Good to see Jhai Dhillon take a shot from outside the box though even if it was through frustration.

Defensively we were fairly good today but Preen (10) caused us a lot of problems and was a real handful. Hollis was subbed off at half time for Adam New, though not sure why as he didn't look to have a problem.

we stay in 16th but Frome are right behind us with games in hand. With another tough game next week against Chippenham who lost to a last minute goal today we may well end up closer to the bottom than the top in terms of position and points.

Moving ahead I would like to see Gokmen get some more game time as he did well when he came on today and I still can't figure out why he doesn't get more chances to play as he usually does well when given very limited and spread out chances.

Can only go by the second half because he was down my side of the pitch but the number 10 Preen was the worst player on the pitch, couldn't put a foot right.

Now into the worst run of form under the current managements tenure - their luck has well and truly deserted them.

Only a handful of shots, and the numbers of players worth keeping is decreasing every game.

There needs to be wholesale change in all areas.

I don't envy Steve Easterbrook as there are some tough choices to be made.

I thought we did OK today.

Competed well for most of the game, didn't let our heads drop and only lost to two poorly defended goals.

Agree that our shots on target were minimal with only Gokman's far post blast from close in bringing out the best in their keeper.

Cannot fault the effort and determination from our players and if we play like that in our remaining games we will pick up some points.

No outstanding performances so again difficult to name a MOTM by my vote goes to Warren Harris.

Clive, these 'bad runs' happen in football especially at the end of a long season when there is nothing to play for points wise.

I might be wrong but didn't you say after the last game that none of the players were worth keeping?

I'm not sure what 'tough choices' Steve Easterbrook will have to make. Steve will work out a budget and it will be left to Bakes and Unders to get a squad together based on the budget they are given.
