Shirts for 'old' men

I need some help. My dad, who is in his late fifties, has asked me to get him a white shirt for Christmas. I was gonna go to River Island, or Topman, but then I thought are these appropriate places to go to purchase a shirt for a man of my dad's age? I mean, if it was my mum, I wouldn't go to Topshop or whatever, I'd probably got to Laura Ashley or something if you get my drift. So any ideas on which shops sell clothes for old blokes?! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
