Grant played as sub last season for us at Banbury in the rearranged fiasco and I was led to believe the Biggleswade player (not going to chance spelling) also played for us a few times 6-7 years ago

Thought I remembered Joe Grants name from somewhere (I think he came on as a sub tonight).

Yes Andrew and his brother, possibly David? played in a couple of friendlies for us when Steve Bateman was manager.

Well with regards to Andrew (Twinnie) he has actually gone back on his word unfortunately and signed for St Albans instead after agreeing to come to us yesterday, however he felt the lure of Conference South football was too good to turn down, and I cant really fault a player for wanting to play at a higher level, however it has put a spanner in the works for us and will be back to the drawing board again this week.

Bakes/Unders, what's the news on Guy?

Bit of a concern with the Weymouth game on Saturday coming up that we have no Dan Hicks and if Guy's not fit we seem to only have a 17 year old from Badshot Lea to fill in at center back who looks to have played mainly at left back for Badshot.

Brad George and Adam were 7 day approaches, Brad inbetween fractured a bone in his hand so not sure how much we will see of him this season.

We had no intention of bringing a forward in, as we had Eddie, Scott and Lee plus Charlie will be back for the Easter weekend, however because of the situation with Eddie and how quickly that happened, we are now trying to bring some extra cover in, however this will more than likely only be a loan player if we can get sorted.

However with all due respect we are safe (granted not mathematically) in the position we are in in terms of the table, and we have to be mindful of that in terms of the type of player to bring in for the last 8 games of the season, as the vast majority of our targets for next season are unobtainable at the present time.

They are both going to train with us on Thursday, and we will just get them used to the environment, it is a little tough to say if they will get much of a look in at this stage, as I think we have to work with them a bit more and work out their level, as there can be a big gap, however both of the lads did well in the keep ball session Saturday, one in particular looked very comfortable and not too overawed, as it can be a bit intimidating going into a senior first team changing room for the first time.

I think Adam will feature at some point, he is young and raw, however he is a good stature, has been attracting pro scouts, and in reality sometimes you need a chance, I made my debut at Farnborough as a 17 year old so know what it is like to be given a chance.

With Guy missing Bideford as he is unable to get out of work and Jhai also struggling for the same reason, Bideford looks like it might be a chance for a few of the lads.
