Think that other CCL Clubs should rally round and help Chessington and Hook in their time of need, rather than berating them on here. They obviously have a serious ongoing problem with their pitch.Other Clubs have needed help in the past, which was solved by either the League or Other Clubs helping out.ANY OFFERS?

Went to Spelly tonight to catch up with some old mates (Harps and Burgo)

Game ended 2-0 to Spelly and although they probably deservred to win it was 2 errors that gave Spelly the goals

Best player on the park by a country mile was the Spelly 4 and with better discipline could probably further his career

Always love my visits to Spelly and tonight was no exception

The match report from our narrow win over Cove is here:

http://www.eefconline.co.uk/Fix2015.16-43.html

We were nowhere near our best, but that was partly due to Cove who deserve credit for covering every blade of grass in a defensive effort. We had a full team available except one suspended player, so can't complain on that score either as I'm sure many other clubs are in a tougher position in that area right now.

Although it is unlikely that we will see them next season, as the gap appears too much for them to bridge, I am sure they will be able to bounce back very soon.

The farce at Chalky Lane continues as Epsom's game against SP Reserves is called off due to a 'waterlogged pitch'. I live within a 15 minute drive of the ground and there's hardly been any rain since Friday AM, in fact there was sunshine for the majority of Friday, Sat and Sun.

The league need to take a serious look at the ground as it must be embarrassing for CHUFC to be associated with (I'm told by an official the grass is very long as no game in over 4 months). I think between the two teams they've got to play 20 odd games in 6 and a half weeks - I think Sunday park pitches are of a better standard.

I did an article a few years ago joking that an over excited spectator spilt a cup of tea there and they needed to hold a pitch inspection!

Of course some people on this site won't allow me to make that joke because of course we don't have a ground, do we. Frankly they can bore off. If the point is valid then it doesn't matter who is saying it.

As for Saturday's game, I can say that we are confident that the match will go ahead. I just can't say why yet!
