3spirit, to try to avoid duplications is it possible to only have one thread on the Hungerford game?

Ask Matt or Tom, they're more technical ! I'm an antiquated bloke still living in the 1970's! lol.

Be interesting to know if these signings are a stop gap till end of season, because most come from lower leagues, rather than planning for next season.

I suppose it depends on how they do.

Gutted that we didn't get anything from tonight's game.

We did well first half which was fairly even, the only negative was the goal that we conceded was down to poor marking at the near post from what I think was a corner.

Second half I thought we were excellent, by far the better team reducing Hungerford to slow time wasting play and hoofing the ball down field at every opportunity. We played some really lovely stuff but just couldn't find the finishing touch to finish off all of our good approach play.

A bit like Saturday I'm really finding it difficult to name a MOTM because every player played their part in, despite the defeat, a very good team performance.

Apart from another totally incompetent ref the only other downside looked to be Guy picking up an injury and possibly Mark Scott due to a seemingly reluctance to kick a dead ball outside the area?

I would imagine Brad Hewitt, having come from a premier division team, would be a good possibility for next season.

Of the other 'new signings' I would guess at a mixture of stop gap and possibilities for the future.

As Bakes and Unders have said, they have specific targets for next season but they are on contracts with their current clubs and as such won't become available til the end of this season.

A good performance last night, second half especially. I wasn't at the St Neots game, but by all accounts, we were the only team in the game. We are playing some good stuff and just cant seem to be finding a break at the moment.

Hungerford are a very handy side. Last night we more than matched them. Very solid at the back (except from the goal). Scott Harris and Lee Barney had good games up front, causing problems for the strong centre half's. I was impressed with Lee's hold up play last night, superb stuff.

Ryan Hope had another excellent game, he loves to get on the ball and is always an option. Very pleased for him. MOTM for me was Lewis Putman. He gave that poor right back a torrid time. The way he runs with the ball and beats players like they are almost not there is a joy to watch. For someone so tall, he's almost defying the laws of gravity :applause:   I would be very surprised if he was around next season, he's just too good for this league. I hope Guy Hollis is fit for Saturday, we are going to need him for what is a huge game for Weymouth. It is a must win for them in the quest for a play-off position.

See you all on Saturday and COYR

Good performance last night but the difference between the 2 sides was fitness , all the time wasting done by Hungerford means their players only need to play for 60 mins whereas Slough still had another 30 mins of energy left at full time. The referee was horrendous, he warned their no4 in the 1st half for wasting time on throws then preceded to let him keep doing it for the rest of the match.

Another good team performance they scored from a very good corner must say our corners were poor seems like we don.t use the ploy of some one going to the backpost at the last moment like Yorkie used to do last season.

We had some good chances but not clear cut Barney unlucky with one cleared of the line but i would say that.s good defending.

Hungerford had three wayward shots at goal in the second half but as always a tough side to beat.

How did they get a free kick when the defender smashed Puts to the ground.

Hard how we only got one point from the last two games looks like we need a pen or deflected goal to get back on track.
