Marlow Preview

This Saturday we travel to The Alfred Davis Ground to take on Marlow and try to gain revenge on the Bucks side after there 2-1 victory over us at Stag Meadow back in August.

Marlow seem to be very inconsistent and you cant predict which team will turn up. Hopefully we will get the team that failed to beat the likes of Banstead, Egham and Molesey and not the side that took points of Dulwich, Windsor and Hampton.

However don’t get too excited when you notice Marlow are only in 15th position, that’s only 6 points behind us ands 7 behind 4th place, that’s how close it is at the moment.

A win at Marlow on Saturday is vital, any thing less and we could find our selves well below the promotion zone come 4.45, however a win and theoretically we could hit the dizzy heights of 4th.

There's one thing for sure, we wont witness another seven goal thriller as the level of opposition is much greater - Mind you Ian Hodge will be playing so you never know <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Strictly speaking Dom we witnessed an eight goal thriller on Saturday <img src="/images/graemlins/affig.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/affig.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/affig.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/affig.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/affig.gif" alt="" />

Tend to agree with what else you say. Marlow can cause problems as we discovered in August. However with the team more settled now I would fancy us to come away with the points. We've got the forwards to destroy teams, with only Lewes having scored more than us in the league. With the teams all bunching up looking to get into the top six we have to rely on our own performances to keep us up there. Win at Marlow and Ashford and we'll be in 4th when we face Windsor.

If Hodgy keeps scoring, suitably backed up by the rest of the team then Saturday should bring a third successive league victory, something we've yet to achieve this season.

Come on boys!
