Not many weeks left in the season, looks like trips on Thursday nights to complete the leagues games on time.

Poor excuses when clubs pitches are dog, should be the 1st part of the FA's ground grading.

No point having facilities, lights etc etc when the game gets called off due to no maintenance to get the games on in the first place.

I know a certain person on here gets slagged off but at least he puts time and effort into getting a game on!!!

Indeed.

No-one worries about how many seats there are at a ground - they are never ever full. Force clubs to fix the useless playing surfaces that get served up almost season long at some grounds instead of putting it into something nobody uses.

If anyone moans that there's not enough seats, tell 'em to bring a bloody deckchair.

Ash Utd 1 Sheerwater 1

Fair result, but feel abit for Sheerwater as the original game they were 2up & cruising to a win.

First half very even with both side very committed but no real end product. 2nd half Ash started the brighter & opened the scoring early on. Couldn't find the second goal which cost them as Sheerwater equalised with a cracking shot. Game began to open up & Sheerwater looked the more dangerous side, but no more goal & the points were shared

I wonder ??? But you do work hard contrary to what others state, least when a water bottle is kicked over it doesn't flood your pitch ☺

If you were the judge Rother how would you describe the difference between pitches that pass the grading and pitches that don't ?

Personally there appears to be a problem with a couple of pitches in the league in terms of having games off.  My view, and I was discussing this with a coach from another club about this the other day, is that the league/FA get involved with the club and pay for an expert to go down to assess the pitch and its problems and to give them a plan of what is needed to be done to solve the issues going forward or even just to help them get through the season.

I appreciate cost can be an issue however these games need playing and if the pitches are not going to be playable then the games will need to be moved and that would be an expense in itself.

Thanks for the useful input there very helpful.

I thought Rother would have quoted just shockingly shit or playable

Fair comment Aupostie, its a shame as it feels like 2 points lost as I thought the league would of have sense to give us the 3 points from the last game. Great work on the pitch, with all the weather we have had, thought it played very well and was surprisingly firm for this time of year. All the best for rest of the season, the fat number 8.
