Surely not for much longer. It must barely pass. And the pitch is awful and dangerous. Big holes all over it.

Played there today vs AFC Hilgate. Facilities not the greatest but have to say pitch was actually ok. Boggy in parts but definitely not the worst we have or will play on this season. Of course I understand quality of pitches at Prem and Div 2 are (or should be) very different.

2-2 draw away to AFC Hilgate today. They started very well and (I hate the cliche) but it was a game of 2 halves. They had only 11 players today and we only had 1 sub and an 11 made up of 3 reserves and a right bk playing left mid.

Hilgate are prob the best technical sides in div 2 and I would encourage any local sides around the London tigers area to have a look at their number 9 and 10 both very good players. Unfortunately Hilgate disciplinary record took another hit again today 3 sent off and god knows how many booked. All for incidents with the ref. He didn't help matters with a couple of strange decisions but nothing that isn't seen every week at this level.

We play Hilgate again next week for the 3rd week in a row

The SAL representative team slipped out of the FA Inter League Cup at Uxbridge this afternoon, losing to the only goal against the Teesside League having played 63 minutes with ten men against a very fast, physical opposition.

The opening exchanges were even but the visitors' quick counter attacking had begun to stretch the SAL defence when skipper Arren Sutcliffe conceded a penalty after fourteen minutes. The kick was good but Sutcliffe's Nottsborough clubmate George Thomas dived to his right to parry the shot and preserve parity.

Teesside continued to play on the break and it was a through ball that turne Thomas' game upside down as he handled outside the area and, as the last defending player, was shown the red card by the referee on 27 minutes. The SAL's very own Teessider - Dan Ashley - took over between the sticks for the free kick which was not converted.

The dismissal appeared to galvanise the SAL and they began to make inroads at the other end with Dan Barber twice going close and having a penalty appeal turned down shortly before half time. A good save from the Teesside 'keeper kept the game goalless which it still was at half time.

In the second half the Teessiders again began brightly but the SAL again worked their way back into the game and a fast paced tussle ensued with the crucial breakthrough coming on 73 minutes when a ball over the back four gave the Teesside striker the opportunity to lob home as Ashley came out to narrow the angle.

Jordan Greaves and Andy Barrell both came on to help take the battle to the visitors but, although the ball spent a fair amount of time in the Teesside final third in the last ten minutes, the defence and goalkeeper stood firm and the SAL were destined to miss out.

Bob Leeds, Pat Folan and the team were bitterly disappointed to miss out on the chance of second final but they should not overlook their performance which showed grit and determination against worthy opponents, a man down for most of the game.

100% agree with this, I was at the game and AFC Hillgates conduct was disgraceful, they did not need to react like that. Some decisions were strange but there was no need to react like that. Also what they are putting on their twitter about the referee is not acceptable.

You are right though about clubs who get their home games on. Only a handful able to do it but then get alot of away games on the bounce.

yep we finish the season with 6 away games on the trot !!

that won't help our cause to stay up

maybe we shouldn't have put the hard work in to get the pitch playable  some weeks then we could have had a home game or 2 to play.

There will be No harefield games at home from 2nd april !!! great for club revenue ????

Do Broadfields still play at your ground? Hopefully they have a few fixtures so that beautiful surface still gets some games on it, as well as a good bar take.

Yep they sure do.

Broadfields are worth a watch just to see Kyle Watson flying down the wing also i now see Sam Hurrell has joined the ranks at Broadfields United FC.

Kyle Watson is a great capture at that level! I thought he played higher?

Yep he left us in the summer and joined Wingate & Finchley FC but stopped enjoying his football and left them around xmas time and went back to Broadfields United FC who we signed him from. Its a lot more relaxed at Broadfields United which probably suits Mr Watson better right now.
