Ouch! Just seen the rearranged fixture list and can't help thinking Hertford Town are now being punished, playing three or four games a week now because other clubs aren't properly maintaining or investing enough in their pitches. I understand that money is tight at this level and it's a tough ask for all Chairmen & groundstaff but this is just silly. The players, officials and volunteers are also now required to attend their respective grounds and rearrange work & family commitments. Why can't the season be extended into May again?

Thanks OD. I'd forgotten that & needed cheering up. Gives the lovely Mickey Hazard a massive problem finding even more excuses for missing his 1st team games & attending champagne functions for Spurs "legends" at The Lane instead!

You are right though about clubs who get their home games on. Only a handful able to do it but then get alot of away games on the bounce.

There is only one week where HTFC are playing three games inc. Berko on the Thursday evening. However neither of you are playing midweek between 16 & 23-Apr-16 why cannot it be played that week?

Simple - Berkhamsted have a cup final that week

Last year it was Cockfosters, this year it's Hadley. HTFC still have two weeks without a midweek fixture and yet two with 3 or 4 games. My question regarding extending the season until May still stands . . .

I don't want the job, but if the Berko v Hertford game is played on 08-Mar

All clubs involved would have to agree as I would not be giving them the required 7 days notice of a fixture

Hadley aren't far behind London Tigers having played 8 home games so far this season. With the forecast tomorrow, I don't expect to see that number increase by 4:45pm tomorrow!

And Hillingdon in Div 1 have played 18 games all season with another 20 to go!

Don't envy you Karen, can't be easy!!

I cant understand how that ground even passes the ground grading to be honest surley its a Division One ground at the best.

Surely not for much longer. It must barely pass. And the pitch is awful and dangerous. Big holes all over it.

It's going to be a very busy 8 or so weeks.

I think it's extremely optimistic to think that pitches that have struggled to cope with 1 game a fortnight, will suddenly be able to handle 3 a week.

The state at Hadley is real cause for concern. Especially given their junior ground sharers status and cup games still to play.

Anyway, think I'll pay a visit to Hertford today for the kind of derby with BB.

Though Hadley/Hoddy would also be an interesting one of it survives.
